I spent one year in Edinburgh 2012-13 as a trauma fellow. I am active in our clinical studies at the department and have focused on shoulder and elbow surgery since my fellowship.

My main research interests are to investigate biological changes in bone and cartilage after hip, knee and shoulder surgery, and to investigate the physical function and activity after orthopaedic interventions, often in conjunction with rehabilitation, training or weight loss interventions. I prefer to use a combination of objectively measured outcome, patient-reported and imaging modalities.
